Saturday after lunch we headed up to the little hilltop town of Anghiari, its name rings a bell because of the famous mural of “The Battle of Anghiari” that Leonardo da Vinci created for the town hall of Florence …
a nice mellow place to wander around , soak in the atmosphere and maybe find “room” for a gelato !!!
Then it’s off to Busatti Boutique for a bit of indulgence with their gorgeously loomed textiles for the home …
next stop Arezzo for a late afternoon, italian style”passeggiata” through the piazzas and main streets of the city to do some people watching and window gazing

Arezzo has a huge antique market the first weekend of every month …but there are tons of antique shops to visit if you don’t hit the right weekend
the city has always been an important center for goldmiths so there’s a lot of unbelievably beautiful jewelry to be seen …
