Thursday morning headed to the north of Le Marche to the tiny village of Pietrarubbia …. a stronghold for the Montefeltro family during the renaissance and now the home of TAM( Trattamento Artistico dei Metalli) a center founded by the world renowned artist Arnaldo Pomodoro for courses, formation,exhibitions and conferences; all focused on the use of metals in art, from large installations, to goldsmithing.
A lovely morning admiring the artwork throughout the village ,in the inside exhibions and also the ceramic and antique metalwork museum found on the premises … then a scenic hike up to the tower, with an amazing view, that was used to control the territory for hundreds of years … where it is even possible to catch a glimpse of the “rocks” Sasso Simone and Simoncello in the Carpegna Park, our destination after a tasty lunch in the inn of the village below
